Marital Status??

Today Jack had his 6 month well visit with the new pedi. As it was our first visit there we had to fill out all of the usual paper work and make sure all of the info they had on us was correct. The girl at the desk handed me a piece of paper and had me check it over for any mistakes:
Name: Jack Henry -check
DOB: -check
Address: unknown -check
Parent/Guardian: Jennifer -check
Marital Status: Single -oops
When I mentioned to the girl that there was a mistake and that I was infact married and not single her reply was "oh, no, that's asking about Jack".
So Jack's new stats are:
Marital Status: SINGLE
Height: 26 3/4 inches
Weight: 18 lbs 3 oz.
Head Circ: 43 centimeters

BAAALLLL!!!

Annabelle is so funny these days. She's talking more and more and starting to put words together...real words, ones we can understand. Yesterday we were at the park and she was chasing a group of older boys who were kicking a ball around (I find it funny referring to 5 year olds as the "older boys") anyway, at one point they were looking for the ball and Annabelle was of course helping by screaming at the top of her lungs "BAAALLLLL, WHERE ARE YOU" "BAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!" The ball never did answer but when she finally spied it hiding out under a slide she screamed "I GET IT, I GET IT". Unfortunately the "older boys" got there first.

Dada

Last night I was sitting across from Nick with Jack on my lap, it was pretty quiet in the room when all of a sudden we hear Jack say Dada!! His first word. Clear as day. I must admit that I was a little sad that his first word wasn't Mama as Nick is now two for two with Dada being Annabelle's first word also.
That's right Jack, you just keep that pacifier in until you're ready to say Mama:)
By the way, Jack is 6 months old today!!

House Inspection, Not So Good

After seeing the inspection report we decided that we shouldn't proceed with the purchase. As it turns out the house has some major foundation problems, among other things. Looks like it's back to the drawing board for us. Sorry little green house, you can become someone else's problem.

Home Sweet Home?

There is a good chance that this little green house will become our new home. We went to an open house there this past Sunday and decided later on that evening to make an offer. After a week long of negotiations and counter offers the current owners finally agreed on a selling price. The house inspection is set for tomorrow morning so if all checks out we should be getting the keys on October 15th!

"GO SOX"!

Red Sox mania has struck again. Annabelle was not happy when the Yankees won 2 games out of 3 in the latest series. Jack, not sure about him, although dressed the part looks like he might have been rooting for the Yankees.

Phase II

Jack has officially outgrown his infant car seat and is now in a "big seat" like his sister. This little milestone of his has certainly made life with 2 kids under the age of 2 much more challenging. As his previous car seat was easily removable and doubled as a carrier I always had a place to "store" Jack when we were out and about and I needed to be hands free, to say, stop Annabelle from eating a rock or smashing a picture frame (which is one of her favorite things to do when we go to other people's houses) or any other disastrous trouble she might get herself into. Now I'm like a juggling circus clown....fun to watch I'm sure but I'm hoping it will get a little easier when Jack can sit up on his own.

The Ride Home

Looks like the lunch date was too much excitement for one afternoon.

Afternoon Tea

Annabelle seems to be adjusting to life in Boston rather well and is quickly making friends. Today she had a lunch date with Mary-Kate and Jeremiah. Shortly after this picture was taken she was standing on the table and lunch was on the floor... no surprise there. Luckily M.K.'s dog Floyd was on hand to help out with the clean up.

Rollie Pollie Jack

Jack has been rolling from his back to front for a few months now, normally he gets stuck and then gets upset and starts to cry. The other day he managed to roll from front to back so now when he's on his belly he's a happy boy. I guess just knowing he can roll over if he wants to makes it all ok.
